Well, the Friday night when I came back from Kyoto Rika wasn't home. Her mum called her and she had gone to a farewell party for one of the exchange students at university. We organised to meet in Shibuya at 12:30. I mean, I was pretty tired, but you can't really pass up clubbing in Tokyo.

Well it's been about 4 days since I've written down what I've been up to (I have more written down, just haven't got it up on the net yet [but by the time you read this, it will be sooo.... confused?]). I train-ed it over to Kyoto and I didn't really have any plans for when I got there. I got to the Tour Club Hostel and met an American girl Lexie, at the door. She was in exactly the same position as me, just got into Kyoto and had no reservations. There were no spare rooms free but the owner offered to let us sleep on the floor of the public lounge room area.

Today I went to Miyajima (correctly known as Itsuku-Shima), an island not far from Hiroshima. It's the home of the Itsuku-Shima Shrine, those Japanese orange gates out on the water that you see on all the postcards. Miyajima is without a doubt the most beautiful place I have ever been.

Took the train this morning to Hiroshima, Bit of a mix up with trains which meant I sat at the Shin-Yokohama terminal for about an hour, but once I was off all was good. I'm staying in a small hotel inbetween The Peace Park and Hiroshima Station. I will take photos of my room before I leave, It will be rather interesting to look at.

OK, So you haven't heard from me in a while, but I did try! On Thursday, I went with Rika to the university and tried to update my blog from there, but using the Japanese keyboard was kind of difficult to do, so it took me a while, by the time I had written it the session had timed out and I lost the whole thing. I've extended the session time so that shouldn't happen again.
